Isabel is an Italian girl from South Tyrol affected by dystonic cerebral palsy since childhood. She started using the Tobii Series C communicator two years ago.
She uses her eye control communicator daily to write and do homework with the help of a teacher and to her speech therapist to speak.
When we met Isabel, her mother told us about the communicator: “This is the only medium she has to write on her own”. The device has been prepared for Isabel by Milena, her teacher, who also added a photo album that is constantly updated with pictures of family members and friends.
This is one of the many reason for which this device has become more that just a mean to do homework, it is also a sort of daily diary for Isabel.
