The PVA method has been used in a study targeting the analysis of psychological and neuro-psychological profiles of normal subjects exposed to very high altitudes.
Subjects participating to the Himalaya HIGHCARE expedition, have been subjected to an in-depth neuro-psychological and psychological-diagnostic evaluation. Many cognitive aspects were studied through various tests (i.e. attention, eye movement, cognitive flexibility). Among which, measurement of reaction times and eye movement using the PVA, through eye tracker Tobii X50.
